The farm was surveyed "on ye 28th of March, 1674, for James Frisby by the side of White Marsh, poss. by Thomas Frisby" and boarders on a branch of Scotchman's Creek. Among the early owners of this property were Thomas Bordley and Daniel Cheston and wife Francina Augustina of Bristol, England.
